STACK
Estimating
A cloud-based takeoff and estimating tool, where a contractor measures a digital plan set to build a bid instead of measuring paper drawings by hand.
What it does
STACK lets an estimator upload a digital plan set and measure it directly on screen, calibrated to the drawing's real scale, then turns that completed takeoff into a priced estimate using built-in labor and material cost data. Markups and takeoffs stay attached to the exact plan sheet they were measured from, so a reviewer can see both the number and where it came from in the same place, and a separate field side of the platform carries the same job forward once it's actually won.
Key features
- Digital takeoff tools for measuring length, area, and count directly off an uploaded plan set
- Cost estimating that turns a completed takeoff into a priced bid using built-in labor and material data
- Markup and document sharing so a takeoff and its underlying plan sheet stay attached to each other
- Field-side project tracking that connects a winning estimate to the job once it's actually under construction
How it's actually used
- An estimator measures every wall and door on a digital floor plan to build a material list for a bid instead of walking a printed set with a scale ruler
- A preconstruction team compares a takeoff-based estimate against the actual buyout numbers once subcontractor bids come in, to see where the original estimate was off
